On May 30th, the LA 99s Board of Directors met at Spitfire Grill for a board meeting to establish Chapter Bylaws and Standing Rules. Though the original plan was a fly-in to Santa Barbara, Santa Monica’s ‘May Gray’ cloudy marine layer prevented the evening flight, so the four ladies huddled in a booth at Spitfire. The meeting took a grueling 3 hours reviewing and editing the Bylaws and Rules. By 9pm, there was consensus and we were ready to present these official documents to International and the Chapter.

Also distributed at the meeting were freshly minted Chapter name badges with the new 99s logo and officer positions, which were proudly donned for the duration of the meeting!
