Happy New Year!

Our first meeting of the new year, started with a bang. With a quorum of 6 official members (and 3 prospective members), we officially elected our board positions for the coming year. Acting board members Kate Scott, Vanessa Gibson and Janie Thomas were elected as Chair, Vice Chair and Treasurer, respectively. New member Benedikta Unter Ecker took on the Secretary position.

Using the theme ‘Time Flies’, Vanessa created wonderful calendars for each of our members showcasing some of our chapter’s notable history. We will continue to add our events to them throughout the year.

We discussed upcoming Fly-Ins with the Santa Monica Airport Association, as well as ideas for our own Fly Ins, Camping Trips and re-painting our 99s logo on the field and in the Museum of Flying.
